El fenómeno administrativo como objeto de estudio

Abstract

El perfil de la ciencia o de las ciencias llamadas administrativas resulta confuso cuando no se precisa el objeto de estudio de la teoría general y el objeto de estudio de otras disciplinas relacionadas con el proceso administrativo o que constituyen campos de aplicación de principios y técnicas de la teoría general. Esta preocupación no es importante si se trata de formar profesionales para la simple aplicación de principios y técnicas administrativas en actividades sistémicas de las organizaciones y en el campo de los negocios prácticos. Pero en la formación para la alta gerencia, la dirección y el liderazgo, las Escuelas de Administración ponen énfasis en los aspectos epistemológicos de la ciencia administrativa y en la identificación de su objeto de estudio. Esto es importante para entender cuándo un fenómeno es el objeto de investigación o estudio de una disciplina científica o cuándo es el objeto de la aplicación de sus leyes y principios. El presente trabajo fue presentado por su autor a un grupo de docentes de administración convocado por la Asociación Colombiana de Facultades y Escuelas de Administración como aporte para la reflexión sobre la enseñanza de la administración.

The profile of science or science is confusing administrative calls when not required in order to study the general theory and the object of study of other disciplines related to administrative or application fields constituting principles and techniques general theory. This concern is not important if it is to train professionals for the simple application of principles and techniques systemic administrative activities and organizations in the field of business studies. But training for senior management, management and leadership, management schools emphasize the epistemological aspects of management science and in identifying its subject. This is important to understand when a phenomenon is under investigation or study of a scientific discipline or when is the subject of the application of its laws and principles. This paper was presented by its author to a management group of teachers organized by the Colombian Association of Colleges and Schools of Administration as a contribution to the reflection on the teaching administration.
