Abstract

This technical report analyzes the technical, economic, logistical, and environmental feasibility of incorporating industrial by-products into the concrete industry in Cundinamarca, using a circular economy approach. A mixed descriptive-correlational methodology was used, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population consisted of waste generators, concrete plants, cement companies, and public entities; the non-probabilistic sample comprised 28 organizations. Document analysis, surveys, and semi-structured interviews were used, complemented by descriptive and correlational statistical analysis, as well as qualitative coding. The results show sufficient availability of ash, fines, and slag, high willingness among companies to use them, and economic viability linked to the partial replacement of clinker. A comprehensive operational model is proposed, with an emphasis on quality assurance and coordination among stakeholders.
