Arándanos de los Andes

Abstract

This project focuses on the creation of the company Arándanos de los Andes, which is dedicated to the cultivation and marketing of blueberries in Cundinamarca and Bogotá, Colombia. The initiative responds to the significant growth of the blueberry sector in different regions of the country, driven by favorable climatic conditions that allow for continuous production throughout the year. Between 2017 and 2023, the cultivated area in Colombia increased from 120 to more than 1,400 hectares, reflecting the potential for expansion, which is projected to continue accelerating, with expectations of reaching between 3,000 and 5,000 hectares by 2026 (Bravo, Portal fruticola, 2025).
