The following project consists of the development of an application that wants to revolutionize the means people access to low-cost food. This is going to be possible by fostering sustainable practices in the supply chain and at the same time reducing food waste, considering that in Colombia more than 9.7 tons of food are wasted annually according to Portafolio (2023). The App will be focused on Geo marketing strategies and opportunity sales offering each user an agile buying experience. There are going to be different tools such as Geo localization, home delivery or the possibility of picking up the product in strategic places. There is also going to be detailed information related to the expiration date. The development of this App brings new perspectives to improve the acquisition of meals and promotes a greater consciousness about the value of food in our society. At the same time, it looks to facilitate the connection between consumers who are interested in purchasing low-cost foods and establishments looking to reduce their food waste.
El proyecto consiste en la creación de una aplicación que busca revolucionar la forma en que las personas acceden a los alimentos de bajo costo, impulsando las prácticas sostenibles en la cadena de suministro y al mismo tiempo reduciendo el desperdicio de alimentos considerando que en Colombia se desperdician 9,7 millones de toneladas anuales según Portafolio (2023). La aplicación se centra en estrategias de geomarketing y ventas de oportunidad, ofreciendo a cada usuario una experiencia de compra ágil. Se implementarán diferentes herramientas como geolocalización, entrega a domicilio y/o recogida puntos estratégicos e información detallada sobre fecha de caducidad. La elaboración de esta aplicación abre perspectivas para mejorar la adquisición de alimentos y promover una mayor conciencia sobre el valor de los alimentos en la sociedad, así mismo facilitar la conexión entre consumidores interesados en adquirir alimentos a bajo costo y los establecimientos que desean reducir sus excedentes alimenticios.
