Proyecto reciclaje digital

Abstract

Because most Colombian households do not have a good culture of waste separation and according to (wwf, 2022) in Colombia only 11 million tons of solid waste are generated per year, but only one ton is recovered, of which 10% is equivalent to plastic materials. Therefore, some materials that are not properly treated end up polluting the environment. According to (Asomovil, 2022) more than 28 million Colombians have a cell phone with internet access, a mobile application called Digital Recycling will be created to help users to have a better awareness about waste separation and reduce the pollution that is generated when they are not properly treated. Since people are in constant interaction with their devices, this will make it easier for them to learn through the application how to perform this recycling process and to communicate directly with the operator to manage their collection. In conclusion, what we want to provide with this application is to encourage a better recycling culture that benefits us as a society and cares for the environment.
