Coloración de fibras textiles a partir de achiote

Abstract

The aim is to analyze the colorant extracted from annatto and its stability in textile fibers such as wool and cotton. Initially, different ideas were compiled related to the possible improvements that the current textile industry could experience, thus proposing to improve the coloring of small garments for personal use, which can be adapted according to their manufacturing fibers to natural dyes such as bixin from achiote, bixin from achiote, bixin from achiote and bixin from achiote. according to their manufacturing fibers to natural dyes such as bixin from annatto, which according to previous research, usually occurs in tropical Colombian territory, more exactly in San Sebastian de Mariquita, territory of Tolima, from which the seeds to be worked during the development of the project will be obtained and will be kept in cool conditions to mitigate losses of color and composition of the raw material. It is necessary to extract the color from the seeds to be able to manipulate the pigmented fibers and from there to carry out the analyses that allow to visualize quantitatively and qualitatively the stability of the colorant. qualitatively the stability of the dye in the dyeing by submitting it to different tests of domestic washing, rubbing and light that prove the resistance of the dye. Then it will be necessary to select the fibers with greater pigment stability to give them use in the confection of small garments and only if necessary during the observations will be used reagents that finish fixing the pigment. to finish fixing the pigment.
