Miranda/Costura Artesanal

Abstract

After analyzing the problematic situation of the craftsmen and small entrepreneurs from San Jacinto, Bolívar and Ovejas, Sucre, and an exhaustive review of the existing literature in regard to the research topic, this thesis sustains that a business plan can optimize the process of both production and commercialization of handcraft products in the approached towns. For said effect, semistructured interviews were conducted to a sample of 15 craftsmen as well as 15 entrepreneurs from the chosen towns, which were later analyzed yielding as a result the viability of the proposed project, in this case Miranda, which is conceived as a brand of handcrafts as well as a platform that works for the training of the craftsmen and the spread of their products, by preserving and promoting knowledges and practices.
