The risk management process at issue was based on the COSO ERM 2017 model. The applicability of this particular risk management model can be used to both companies that utilize a well- established risk management protocol as well as newly created companies or companies recently utilizing a risk management model. Companies with well-established risk management pursuant to regulation or implementation, have adjusted their business risks to foresee strategic risks including existing or emerging risks, have implemented management structures to counter these risks and have implemented a process wherein these risks are identified and monitored by the senior management and board of directors.
