Feminisme i interseccionalitat: Mirades de dones musulmanes de Ripoll

Abstract

The present work arises from the interest in the Muslim community, more specifically on women, and the knowledge acquired in different subjects of the degree of Social Education on interculturality and gender perspective. After an exploration of the field under study and having conducted in-depth interviews-conversations with Muslim women in Ripoll, through which one of the main objectives of the research has been fulfilled, which is to give voice and know different perspectives around of feminism, it has been argued that there is social fragmentation in relation to the rights and equal opportunities offered to the Muslim community, with prejudices and stereotypes that condition and limit their participation in society. In this work, an approach is made to the reality of Muslim women in Ripoll, with the aim of incorporating their voices into the feminist movement and other issues of social relevance that challenge them. However, proposals for improvement have been incorporated in order to promote their coexistence and participation.
