Rompiendo barreras

Abstract

Breaking Barriers is a documentary series project that combines sport, resilience, and audiovisual storytelling with the aim of normalising disability and portraying it from a human, emotional, and authentic perspective. Through dynamic and intimate interviews with top Spanish athletes such as Rafa Nadal, Pau Gasol or Laia Sanz, the series follows a personal and collective journey led by Fiona Pinar, a Paralympic athlete and the host, who shares her own story while discovering the world of each guest. The project not only highlights individual strength but also challenges social prejudices, raises awareness about adapted sports, and delivers a powerful and inspiring message for all kinds of audiences. The narrative structure blends voice-over, shared physical activities, humour, and deep conversations, all presented with a cinematic and contemporary aesthetic. This work represents both a creative proposal and a strategic communication plan that strengthens personal branding. Through an emotional, multi-platform storytelling campaign, the project aims to generate social impact, empathy, and meaningful reflection.
