Abstract

Denne oppgaven handler om de etiske problemstillingene knyttet til levertransplantasjon hos barn.Jeg har fokus på flere gangs transplantasjon og transplantasjon fra levende givere. Jeg har fokus på barn som er så dårlige at de ligger på intensivavdellingen. Jeg har kommet frem til fire dilemmaer: Bør barnet transplanteres eller ikke? Bør foreldrene få vite at det finnes en mulighet til å gi en bit av sin egen lever eller ikke? For å belyse dette har jeg brukt firepunktsetikken til Beauchamp og Childress. Jeg har diskutert de etiske dilemmaene opp mot autonomi, ikke volde skade, velgjørenhet - og rettferdighetsprinsippet. dessuten har jeg sett dette i lys av den samfunnsmessige og medisinske utviklingen. Jeg har også vist hva som styrer sykepleirens normative handlingsrom. denne oppgaven konkluderer ikke, den viser bare kompleksiteten i dilemmaene.
