Abstract

I denne oppgaven studeres tekster fra papiravisene VG og Vårt Land på viktige homohistoriske datoer i perioden 1971-2008. Hensikten er å belyse hvordan de to avisenes dekning har påvirket homofiles kamp for likeverd med heterofile. Studien viser hvordan avisenes dekning har endret karakter med hensyn til form og meningsinnhold i perioden. Sentrale spørsmål er hvordan avisene konstruerer sosiale identiteter og relasjoner og om kreative og/eller normative diskursive praksiser kan identifiseres? Studien viser hvordan VG tidlig utviste progressive holdninger i forhold til homofili. Med tiden har VG ”mistet” interessen. Men på tross av fallende interesse kom holdningene tydeligere fram i lyset. Studien viser hvordan Vårt Land tidlig var mindre interessert, men tydeligere vedrørende holdninger. Med tiden har avisen blitt mer interessert, men mindre tydelig vedrørende holdningene.
