Den alternative Delta-Sigma modulatoren utviklet ved MES-gruppen (FDSM) krever at det er en lineær sammenheng mellom inngangsspenning og utgangsfrekvens fra VCO en. Oppgaven går ut på å studere forskjellige VCO-arkitekturer med hensyn på linearitet og forsøke å komme med forslag til forbedringer. Det skal implementeres en testkrets i CMOS for evaluering av kretsene.
