Evaluación del efecto de la intensidad de mallas fotoselectivas en cultivo sin suelo

Abstract

El objetivo de la malla sombra no debe ser sólo reducir la cantidad de luz y/o evitar el exceso de temperatura, sino también desplegar propiedades fotométricas especiales para mejorar el aprovechamiento de la radiación solar (Ayala, 2012). Las mallas sombra causan distintos efectos sobre el microclima de los invernaderos afectando directamente a factores como la radiación, la fotoselectividad, la humedad relativa, la temperatura y el movimiento del aire, que inciden dentro de estas estructuras (Intagri, 2017). Recientemente se han desarrollado mallas plásticas con propiedades ópticas especiales, las cuales representan un nuevo enfoque para mejorar el uso de la radiación solar en los cultivos agrícolas (Ganelevin, 2008). El uso de mallas sombra de colores se han estado empleando para manipular el crecimiento y desarrollo de los cultivos debido a que fomentan un incremento en el rendimiento comercial, disminución de desórdenes fisiológicos y respuestas fisiológicas relacionadas al tamaño, peso, color, amarre y momento de cosecha (Intagri, 2017). Los resultados que se obtengan del experimento van a poder establecer las bases para determinar cuál es el color de la malla sombra más adecuada para obtener un efecto favorable sobre la fisiología y crecimiento de cada especie hortícola, lo que se traducirá en un aumento de ramificación, número de flores, producción, calidad de fruto, etc
