Aula invertida aplicada a la robótica

Abstract

The education value in the 21st century does not mean saturating the students minds with a lot of information during the class, but teaching people capable of autonomous and permanent learning. Traditional teaching methods, suitable for transmitting the best knowledge in a certain field, are not suitable for developing the skills that students need to carry out the professional profiles demanded by today's society. These skills are underdeveloped when education abuses teaching methods and does not provide students with adequate opportunities for critical thinking, communication, team collaboration, and creativity. With the development of this work, it is intended to justify the need for new educational models of teaching innovation, list the theoretical foundations and pedagogical possibilities of the Flipped Classroom methodology and offer theoretical-practical guidelines on how the development of a didactic unit focused on the Flipped Classroom methodology with gamification and TICs elements. The implementation of this teaching model will also be carried out in the 3o ESO classroom of the high school where I am doing my internship. In this center, Robotics subject is currently being studied, which is taught within the educational innovation program called STEAM, which is promoted by Junta de Andalucía. Summarizing, flipped classroom helps improving classes preparation and gives students more time to practice skills in the classroom through active learning activities.
