Derivados nitrogenados de furfural y 5-hidroximetilfurfural

Abstract

In the present final master's project, the preparation and synthesis of nitrogenated compounds such as imines, amines, diimines, diamines, and Diels-Alder adducts are described. These compounds are derived from lignocellulosic biomass, specifically furfural and hydroxymethylfurfural, which are considered biobased platform products of great importance for the substitution of fossil-based resources. Aminations, reductions, and one-pot reductive aminations have been carried out using either H2 gas or NaBH3CN as reducing agents, aiming to optimize the reactions and achieve the best yields. Additionally, Diels-Alder reactions have been conducted for the synthesis of polymer precursors using N-methylmaleimide.
