Las mujeres y hombres con diversidad funcional en el ámbito rural deben desafiar las barreras arquitectónicas y los prejuicios que se albergan en su habitar, por esta razón, con este proyecto pretendo que la diversidad funcional en el ámbito rural tenga más visibilidad y poder erradicar los prejuicios y discriminación consiguiendo así facilitar su acceso a servicios tales como terapias ocupacionales ya que hay familias que disponen de ingresos mínimos y no pueden permitirse viajar a la ciudad, además de poder crear una red de apoyo a través de un grupo de autoayuda donde podrán informarse de ayudas, servicios y centros de días. A través de este grupo se consigue que padres o familiares que tengan a una persona con diversidad funcional puedan sentirse identificados con otras personas que estén pasando por la misma situación, de la misma forma que podrán expresar sus emociones o sentimientos, además de intercambiar experiencias, dándose un apoyo mutuo. Todo este proceso se llevará a cabo en la Comarca del Río Nacimiento que se localiza en la capital de Almería y su actuación será tanto a nivel social, familiar e individual, ya que estas actuaciones tendrán un gran beneficio tanto para la población como para el colectivo. Con esto decir que la imagen de la sociedad hacia la diversidad ha tenido un cambio, pero aún queda mucho por trabajar y una opción es empezar desde la educación con los más pequeños y sobre todo desde esos pueblos o municipios donde los “prejuicios” están tan arraigados hacia estas personas y romper por fin con la exclusión de la diversidad y empezar un cambio hacia la inclusión, todo esto a través de una acción social para eliminar la discriminación y a su vez dejar de problematizar a las personas ya que no son culpables de su diversidad. All this process will be carried out in the Nacimiento River Region, which is located in the capital of Almería and its action will be both at a social, family and individual level, since these actions will have great benefits for both the population and the collective. With this to say that the image of society towards diversity has had a change, but there is still a lot to work on and one option is to start from education with the smallest and especially from those towns or municipalities where the "prejudices" are so rooted towards these people and finally break with the exclusion of diversity and start a change towards inclusion, all this through a social action to eliminate discrimination and in turn stop problematizing people since they are not guilty of their diversity.
