Llevar la edad adulta a su mejor nivel

Abstract

La vida tiene un comienzo y un final sin predicci�n, sin embargo, para algunos no es ameno, no obstante �envejecer es como escalar una gran monta�a: mientras se sube las fuerzas disminuyen, pero la mirada es m�s libre, la vista m�s amplia y serena.� (1). La edad avanzada una etapa que no tiene alternativa, y a trav�s de la actividad f�sica se puede llegar a obtener uno saludable, el cual implique menores riesgos y limitaciones en la sociedad. La actividad f�sica y el ejercicio no solo producen cambios f�sicos, sino tambi�n aportan al desarrollo cognitivo en la mayor�a de las edades, y se suele pensar que en la madurez no, pero en esta tiene efectos positivos tambi�n, as� que es importante diferenciar qu� tipo de actividad es m�s factible para una vejez positiva. �C�mo una vida activa ayuda al desarrollo cognitivo en la adultez? Por medio de la actividad f�sica los adultos mayores tienen la oportunidad de proteger �reas del cerebro que los mantiene menos susceptibles a padecer enfermedades degenerativas.
