El precedente en el ordenamiento colombiano, como principio general en el cual se apoyan los jueces para dictar sus decisiones, tanto en materia constitucional como en materia contencioso administrativa, no es uno solo, corresponde actualmente a dos corrientes, que generan tensión y conflicto, en un permanente «choque de trenes».
