Se presentan los resultados de la evaluación de la implementación de la estrategia educativa Lectores Saludables, desarrollada en escuelas de comunidades rurales del Caribe colombiano. El objetivo de la estrategia fue fortalecer la práctica docente con recursos y herramientas de animación literaria que conlleven la generación de hábitos y comportamientos saludables en los estudiantes de básica primaria. Se trató de un estudio enográfico con enfoque cualitativo aplicado a directivos, docentes, estudiantes y a padres de familia de las instituciones educativas. La estrategia permitió recuperar la calidad de los procesos de gestión curricular, pedagógicos y didácticos, y fortalecer la cultura institucional, mejorando las prácticas de autocuidado de la comunidad académica en general.

A estratégia permitiu recuperar a qualidade dos processosde gestão curricular, pedagógicos e didáticos, além de fortalecer a cultura institucionale, assim, melhorar as práticas de autocuidado da comunidade acadêmicaem geral.
The study presents the results of assessing the implementation of the Healthy Readers(Lectores Saludables) teaching strategy in rural schools of the ColombianCaribbean. The purpose of the strategy was to strengthen teaching practices withliterary animation resources and tools that can result in developing healthy habitsand behaviors in elementary school children. It was a qualitative ethnographic studyapplied to administrators, teachers, students and parents in these schools. The strategyenabled recovering the quality of curriculum, pedagogical and teaching management,strengthening school culture, improving self-care practices in the academiccommunity in general.
