El estudio evaluó el efecto postantifúngico (PAFE) de anidulafungina contra Candida albicans, Candida parapsilosis, C. dubliniensis, C. africana, C. metapsilosis y C. orthopsilosis. Se analizaron 21 cepas mediante estudios de PAFE y curvas de letalidad (time-kill). Los resultados mostraron que anidulafungina produjo un efecto postantifúngico prolongado frente a la mayoría de las cepas estudiadas y alcanzó actividad fungicida en algunos aislamientos. El trabajo concluye que anidulafungina presenta un PAFE significativo y prolongado contra especies relacionadas con C. albicans y C. parapsilosis.
