Estudio de los microvertebrados del Pleistoceno superior de la cueva de Bolinkoba (Abadiño, Bizkaia)

Abstract

En este trabajo se recogen los resultados del estudio microfaunístico del yacimiento de Bolinkoba (Abadiño, Bizkaia). Este análisis ha proporcionado restos de un mínimo de 98 individuos repartidos en 14 taxones: un glírido (Glis glis), siete cricétidos (Arvicola amphibius, Arvicola sapidus, Pliomys lenki, Microtus oeconomus, Microtus agrestis, Microtus arvalis, Microtus (Terricola) sp.), un múrido (Apodemus sylvaticus-flavicollis), cuatro insectívoros (Sorex araneus-coronatus, Sorex minutus, Crocidura russula, Talpa sp.) y un ánguido (Anguis fragilis). En conjunto, la acumulación de microvertebrados ha resultado ser exigua, por lo que la interpretación paleoambiental ha de ser considerada con precaución. Esta asociación, indica que las condiciones ambientales a lo largo de la secuencia estratigráfica (contamos con capas de cronología Musteriense, Auriñaciense Evolucionado y Gravetiense) fueron frías, si bien en ningún caso lo suficientemente extremas como para implicar la desaparición de las especies boscosas y la presencia de taxones estépicos.
