Género y mejora escolar en los centros de primaria

Abstract

Este trabajo ahonda en las buenas prácticas en favor de la igualdad de género encentros de Educación Primaria de alta o baja eficacia de la Comunidad Autónoma Vasca. Se trata de un estudio con diseño descriptivo-exploratorio-explicativo y de metodología mixta con empleo de cuestionarios, entrevistas y grupos de discusión. Equipos directivos, inspección y docentes refieren diversidad de actividades coeducativas en función de la eficacia de los centros, aunque no siempre están incluidas en planes o programas. Los resultados muestran diferencias en la implicación de los centros y del profesorado, así como en la valoración que estos realizan de la socialización de género, dependiendo de factores personales (edad, sexo, experiencia docente y antigüedad en el centro) y contextuales (tamaño del centro, índice socioeconómico y cultural, inmigración, alta o baja eficacia escolar). Se concluye con la necesidad de incidir en aspectos estructurales u organizativos y en propuestas formativas de carácter más vivencial y contextualizado.
