Abstract

The permeable pavement area in the renovated district of Txomin-Enea in Donostia-San Sebastián, monitored to analyze the evacuation flow to the sanitation network, makes it possible to compare the advantages of its use with the traditional waterproof finish. The aim of this work is to give value to the investment made with its establishment, emphasizing, on the one hand, the advantages of soil permeability, and, on the other hand, the real follow-up of a case study. By configuring permeable layers, rainwater infiltrates the ground and its emptying stops and slows down, significantly reducing the load of the drainage network. The introduction of this technique, included among sustainable urban drainage systems, on roads where waterproof soil is normally chosen, becomes more important with the increase and intensity of hydrological phenomena. From the evidence obtained through monitoring, it can be concluded that they effectively manage rainwater in both mild and violent storms, mitigating the emergence of wells, runoff and loads in the municipal sewerage network. Investing in this seemingly invisible infrastructure for citizens adapts the urban environment to the natural cycle of water and protects it, creating a city that increases the resilience of these events hardened by climate change.

Donostiako Txomin-Enea auzo berrituan dagoen zoladura iragazkorreko zonak, saneamendu-sarera husteko emaria aztertzeko monitorizatua, erabileraren abantailak ohiko akabera iragazgaitzarekin alderatzeko aukera ematen du. Lan honen bidez, haren ezarpenarekin egindako apustuari balioa eman nahi zaio, lurzoruaren iragazkortasunak alde batetik dituen abantailak azpimarratuz eta, bestetik, azterketa-kasu baten benetako jarraipena eginez. Geruza iragazkorren konfigurazioaren bidez, euri-ura lurrera infiltratzen da eta haren hustuketa geldiarazi eta moteldu egiten da, drainatze-sareko karga nabarmenki gutxituz. Drainatze jasangarriko hiri-sistemen artean jasotako teknika hau normalean lurzoru iragazgaitza aukeratzen den galtzadetan ezartzeak garrantzi handiagoa hartzen du fenomeno hidrologikoen gorakadarekin eta intentsitatearekin. Monitorizazioari esker lortutako ebidentziei esker, ondoriozta daiteke modu eraginkorrean kudeatzen dutela euri-ura, bai ekaitz arinetan, bai bortitzetan, putzuen, isurketen eta udal-estolderiako sareko kargen agerpena arinduz. Itxuraz herritarrentzat ikusezina den azpiegitura horretan inbertitzeak hiri-ingurunea uraren ziklo naturalera egokitzen du eta babestu egiten du, klima-aldaketaren ondorioz gogortutako gertaera horien erresilientzia handitzen duen hiria sortuz.
