Identidad Profesional docente durante la formación Inicial

Abstract

Los docentes forman parte de uno de los gremios de mayor valor social, debido a la responsabilidad de formar integralmente a sus estudiantes. Por eso la importancia de estudiar aspectos relacionados con dicha figura desde su formación inicial, donde empieza la construcción de su identidad profesional. Este artículo, perteneciente al estudio «Prácticas, identidad profesional docente y patrimonio cultural» tiene como objetivo describir la identidad profesional docente de 180 estudiantes de un programa de educación. La metodología empleada es de corte cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo tipo encuesta-transeccional-no experimental. Entre los principales hallazgos se encuentra que el 97.7% de participantes se identifica con la profesión docente, conocen el significado de docente, su perfil y tareas, se sienten felices y satisfechos con su formación y están comprometidos con su futura labor. También, consideran que la labor docente es valorada y reconocida por sus familiares y amigos, pero no por la sociedad.
