[spa] En el presente trabajo se ha realizado un análisis del gasto social en los Presupuestos Generales del Estado y, concretamente, se analiza la evolución del mismo a lo largo del siglo XXI. Es evidente que el siglo XXI es el periodo en el que mayor crecimiento ha experimentado el gasto social, convirtiéndose en el conjunto de políticas que mayor peso tiene dentro del gasto público. Consecuentemente, se ha observado cuál ha sido el comportamiento de los diferentes gobiernos estatales con respecto al gasto social, es decir, como han evolucionado el conjunto de políticas que componen el gasto social en función del partido político que adoptase los presupuestos. Asimismo, también se ha analizado la relación existente con otras variables, como por ejemplo el Producto Interior Bruto o la presión fiscal. Con este análisis se pretende determinar la influencia y evolución del gasto social a lo largo del presente siglo.

[eng] In this project, an analysis of social expenditure in the General State Budget has been carried out and, specifically, its evolution throughout the 21st century. It is clear that the 21st century is the period in which social expenditure has experienced the greatest growth, becoming the set of policies with the greatest weight within public spending. Consequently, how the different state governments have behaved with respect to social expenditure has been observed, in other words, how the set of policies that make up social expenditure have evolved according to the political party that adopted the budgets. The relationship with other variables, such as Gross Domestic Product or the tax burden, has also been analysed. The aim of this analysis is to determine the influence and evolution of social expenditure throughout this century.
