Medición de la longitud cervical mediante ecografía transvaginal vs transabdominal para la predicción de parto pretérmino

Abstract

[ES] El parto pretérmino es un problema de salud mundial. La medición de la longitud cervical durante la ecografía del segundo trimestre, es importante para predecirlo. La medición del cérvix vía transabdominal es una técnica más cómoda para la paciente y requiere menor tiempo en comparación con la vía transvaginal siendo ésta la Gold Standard. El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido valorar si existe buena correlación entre las longitudes cervicales obtenidas por ambas vías y ver si la vía transabdominal es útil para detectar longitudes cervicales cortas, menores o iguales a 25 mm, en la predicción de parto pretérmino. Para ello, se ha realizado un estudio observacional prospectivo desde septiembre de 2018 hasta febrero de 2019 incluyendo a todas las gestaciones únicas, sin antecedentes de parto pretérmino, que han acudido a la ecografía morfológica del segundo trimestre en el Hospital Universitario de Basurto. A todas ellas, se les realizó la exploración rutinaria añadiendo la medición de la longitud cervical tanto por vía transabdominal como transvaginal y se las siguió hasta la finalización de su gestación, realizando posteriormente un análisis de los datos, obtención de resultados y conclusiones de los mismos.
