Comportamiento del consumidor: compras impulsivas

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el comportamiento de compra impulsiva. Para ello se introduce, en primer lugar, el concepto de compra por impulso; a continuación, se realiza una revisión amplia de la literatura científica con el objeto de identificar los principales factores, tanto internos como externos, que influencian dicha variable. Posteriormente, mediante el uso de encuestas auto-administradas online a una muestra de 160 consumidores, se realiza un análisis empírico con el objeto de examinar en qué medida algunas de las principales variables identificadas en la literatura, concretamente, el género, la edad, la autoestima, el materialismo y el nivel de estabilidad emocional del consumidor explican el comportamiento de compra impulsiva. Del análisis de regresión realizado se obtiene que el grado de materialismo del consumidor resulta ser la variable con mayor grado de influencia sobre la compra impulsiva seguida de la característica de estabilidad emocional. En el trabajo se discuten las implicaciones para la práctica de dichos resultados.
