Este artículo pretende acercarse a la metodología de trabajo empleada por Isi-doro de Sevilla en dos de sus obras profanas, De differentüs I y Etymologiae, en las que se aprecia el uso de un fichero léxico y en parte gramatical, que mantuvo continuamente en re-elaboración y ampliación. Asimismo intentaré estudiar el distinto tratamiento que le presta el autor a los lemas que aparecen repetidos en las dos obras, especialmente en el caso de las repeticiones literales de ciertos lemas enciclopédicos entre los distintos libros de las propias Etymologiae. = This article is aming to approach the working system used by Isidor of Seville in De differentiis 1 and Etymologiae, two of his non-religious works, where I have seen the use of a lexical and to some extent also grammatical file-box, which he would keep constantly reelaborating and extending. Furthermore, I shall attemp here a study of the different treatment given by him of the lemmata repeated in both works, and specially in several books of th~ Etymologiaewherein certain encyclopaedical lemmata literally repeated can be found.
