Estudio de las prestaciones acústicas de materiales de construcción que incorporen subproductos industriales

Abstract

La actividad asociada a la producción industrial genera una serie de subproductos que deberían tener un aprovechamiento posterior, pero, sin embargo, se desechan pasando de ser un recurso a convertirse en un residuo. Un ejemplo que afecta a la CAPV es la producción masiva de acero por la industria siderúrgica, que ha dado lugar a la acumulación de grandes cantidades de escorias. Estudios previos avalan la producción de áridos siderúsgicos de alta calidad para su empleo como hormigón estructural u otro usos como carreteras. De este modo, aspectos como la resistencia, durabilidad, etc... se han estudiado, pero, sin embargo, otras propiedades más relacionadas con la habitabilidad (caso de las prestaciones acústicas) no han sido analizadas hasta la fecha.En este sentido, el desarrollo de materiales de construcciones con prestaciones acústicas mejoradas se ha visto limitado por la necesidad de realizar costosos ensayos de laboratorio (muestras a escala real). Con todo ello, el objetivo de la presente Tesis Doctoral se ha concretado en la doble tarea de avanzar en el desarrollo de experimentos y modelos acústicos a escala y, adicionalmente, en la evaluación de las prestaciones acústicas de materiales hidráulicos de construcción, que incorporen subproductos industriales tales como escorias de acería eléctrica (las de primera fusión).
