Abstract

[ES] Los tratamientos intervencionistas de las arritmias cardíacas han supuesto un gran avance en el manejo de estas entidades. Procedimientos como la implantación de marcapasos en las bradicardias y bloqueos, la ablación mediante radiofrecuencia en las taquiarritmias y la implantación de desfibriladores automáticos en algunas taquicardias ventriculares han mejorado el pronóstico de estas patologías. Sin embargo, al emplear la radioscopia, se expone al paciente a radiaciones ionizantes, lo que incrementa el riesgo de carcinogénesis. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las dosis de radiación administradas en los principales tratamientos intervencionistas en Arritmología. Para ello, se han comparado las dosis medias administradas en los diferentes tipos de procedimientos realizados en el Hospital Universitario Cruces. Se observa que la dosis radiológica administrada es diferente en los distintos procedimientos. Durante las ablaciones se administra una mayor cantidad de radiaciones ionizantes que en la implantación de diferentes dispositivos, siendo la ablación del flutter auricular la intervención en la que se emplea una mayor dosis. Puesto que la exposición a radiaciones ionizantes supone un riesgo para la salud, los resultados de este trabajo remarcan la importancia de minimizar la dosis radiológica administrada al paciente.
