Mujer y surrealismo

Abstract

Este volumen recoge las participaciones, intervenciones y posteriores debates que se expusieron en el marco de las Jornadas sobre Mujer y Surrealismo, organizadas por el Departamento de Filología Francesa de la UPV/EHU, con la colaboración de la Dirección para la Igualdad, el Vicerrectorado del campus de Álava, la Facultad de Letras y el Departamento de Filología Francesa de la UPV/EHU, y celebradas en la primavera del 2017 en Vitoria-Gasteiz, en la Facultad de Letras de la UPV/EHU. En estas Jornadas se puso de relieve la importancia capital de la mujer en el movimiento surrealista europeo, tradicionalmente relegada al simple papel de compañera y/o musa. Del mismo modo se hizo hincapié en la importancia del imaginario de la mujer emancipada (con arquetipos como la dama medieval o Salomé) en el surrealismo, vehiculado ya desde la Edad Media, haciendo especial hincapié en autores como Mirbeau, Sade o Mirabeau. Pese a que el surrealismo incorporó a muchas mujeres artistas en su seno hoy son mucho menos conocidas que sus congéneres masculinos. Se trata por lo tanto de una cuestión histórica pendiente, ya que, efectivamente, aún no se ha hecho justicia a las grandes escritoras, pintoras, cineastas, fotógrafas, artistas, que formaron parte del revulsivo surrealista. Con estas aportaciones buscamos modestamente contribuir a la visibilidad de dichas creadoras, así como a la imagen de la mujer dentro de las manifestaciones surrealistas.
