Tradición y/ o manipulación: El caso de Marco Antonio

Abstract

[EN] This paper deals briefly with the figure of Mark Anthony, the consul of 44 BC and triumvir, and his reception in modern times. This is one of the figures more negatively presented through the centuries, in a tradition that started in his own times in Rome, due to Cicero and the propaganda of his rival Octavianus. At the same time, this story underlines the power a stereotype can achieve and the necessity today of its re-evaluation.
