Internados religiosos: marketing del espacio a través d elas memorias escolares

Abstract

Los internados dedicados a la educación alcanzaron gran prestigio durante los siglos XIX y XX. Los internados son espacios escolares que, en general, suelen estar aislados de la población y que reúnen, además del edificio escolar, un conjunto de espacios para el desarrollo de otro tipo de actividades. Asimismo, otro elemento clave de definición es que se trata de un espacio cerrado regido, generalmente, por un orden disciplinario en todas sus actividades. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la presentación que de los internados se hace a partir de una fuente novedosa, las memorias escolares, que recogen campañas permanentes de marketing sobre estos centros. La riqueza de estas memorias como fuente primaria para la Historia de la Educación es patente, ya que se trata de documentos generados por los propios centros que transmiten una información muy rica en cuanto a su evolución, construcciones escolares, actividades escolares, juegos, deportes y otras actividades culturales, actividades religiosas, asociaciones de apostolado, evolución del profesorado, relatos de alumnado, fotografías de grupos escolares, publicidad comercial, etc. En definitiva, las memorias escolares ofrecen la imagen que el centro desea que quede grabada en los alumnos, construyendo así su propia memoria y sus recuerdos. Nos interesa resaltar la relevancia que las memorias escolares dedican a los espacios con el objeto de prestigiar los internados y, por lo tanto, elaborar un producto de marketing.
