Abstract

La serigrafía como sistema permeográfico permite la impresión de un amplio espectro de productos y materiales más allá de las tintas convencionales. Hemos desarrollado un procedimiento que nos permite imprimir de manera controlada materiales de origen natural y artificial sólidos no solubles y granulares de gran tamaño a los que hemos denominado áridos, que en función de sus propiedades fisicoplásticas aportan a la impresión una serie de valores texturales, de color, brillo y transparencia hasta ahora no contemplados en el campo de la serigrafía y que poseen un enorme potencial creativo.Este procedimiento es perfectamente seriable y compatible con el resto de las técnicas gráficas siempre y cuando se respeten las necesarias relaciones establecidas entre la granulometría del árido y las características físicas del tejido serigráfico así como la compatibilidad de los materiales.Algunos de los áridos incluidos en esta tesis como el carburo de silicio, la granalla plástica, el silicato de aluminio, las microesferas de vidrio, el granate almandino, etc. No han sido objeto de estudio desde el campo de la serigrafía artística, por lo que su estudio amplia enormemente el abanico de materiales incorporables a la estampa.Todo el procedimiento ha sido desarrollado empleando vehículos aglutinantes de base acuosa en sustitución de los habituales barnices y adhesivos de base solvente, con lo que se reducen sensiblemente los niveles de toxicidad y riesgos para la salud del usuario y el impacto en el medio ambiente.
