“La Classetta”: un’esperienza di integrazione nella scuola secondaria di secondo grado

Abstract

The choice and the access to secondary school is a complex and critical moment for people with intellectual disabilities and their families. There are many educational aspects to be considered: teachers’ competence about special educational needs, school programs and their connection with life project of disable student. The Social Health Center Don Calabria in Verona in collaboration with Centro studi e ricerche sul disagio e le povertà educative of Catholic University in Milan realized an interesting project for monitoring the quality of integration within an experience of a professional school. The purpose of the project “La Classetta” was to respond in an effective and innovative teaching and educational needs of students with disabilities, ensuring a good level of personalized education and encouraging, at the same time, the social inclusion of young people involved.
