The aim of this work is to provide useful material to high school teachers. Through the historical-cultural contextualization and the analysis of texts included in school programmes, this volume aims to suggest activities for an engaging and interactive teaching style. The texts analysed belong to different ages of English history, ranging from the Early Modern Period to the 20th century, and to different literary genres (speeches, poems, novels,...).
