Abstract

La cultura contemporanea, dominata dalla disillusione e da un cinico realismo, è pervasa dall’idea che il mondo così com’è non possa essere cambiato. La percezione comune è quella di un presente egemonico, non più interpretato come il frutto della lenta evoluzione del passato, ma neppure come il “ponte” che ci lega a un futuro possibile e alternativo. In tal senso il pensiero utopico non è solo utile ma necessario. L’utopia, infatti, non è una visione illusoria, fantastica, ma l’approccio intellettuale che genera la giusta tensione propulsiva per la trasformazione, una forza disgregante e innovativa nelle riflessioni filosofiche, nelle analisi sociologiche, nelle dialettiche politiche. La collettività e soprattutto le giovani generazioni hanno bisogno di riappropriarsi del desiderio di immaginare un rinnovato “spazio del possibile” e della speranza di poter migliorare il mondo.
