Abstract

Nel prendere le mosse dal riconoscimento dell’importanza teoretico-pedagogica della nozione di ambiente, è ineludibile rilevarne l’ambiguità lessicale e semantica. La riflessione critica sulle pratiche formative non può prescindere dalle peculiarità del contesto e dalla considerazione del rapporto persona-natura, con riferimento alla dimensione etico-educativa. L’ambiente è matrice della civiltà umana, non mero “contenitore” o cornice dell’esperienza educativa, è un sistema complesso di relazioni materiali e immateriali, è ciò che ci circonda e al contempo include ciascuno di noi. Nello spazio del pensiero contemporaneo, pressoché tutti gli autori che hanno riflettuto sull’educazione hanno riconosciuto l’importanza del rapporto con la natura e con l’ambiente socio-culturale, mettendo in luce, da diversi angoli di visuale, la rilevanza euristica dell’idea di ambiente come territorio e comunità, bacino di cultura, alfabeto di linguaggi, avventura, spazio interiore ed esteriore, risorsa e valore educativo e didattico.
