Abstract

Il capitolo introduce una visione complessiva del fenomeno della digitalizzazione in relazione sia all'informatizzazione della società sia alla trasformazione dell'esperienza e della vita introdotte dalla rivoluzione tecnologica binaria. La descrizione della ormai pervasiva digitalizzazione dei media proposta dagli autori non si limita alla dimensione puramente tecnologica ma include gli aspetti economici, sociali e culturali degli ambienti mediali.
