The article takes into account the concept of intellectual conversion and the insight in the insight elaborated by the Canadian Jesuit scholar Bernard Lonergan (1904-1984). The study of the human understanding and the dynamics of the consciousness of the human subject is in fact one of the fundamental reasons for his long work. Metacognitive education, in the light of Lonergan's reflection, can not be exhausted in the knowledge and application of some thinking strategies; it involves the progressive understanding of your own understanding.
