Contra el atomismo. Fundamentos de una solidaridad republicana

Abstract

[eng] The present work aims to normatively justify a deontological conception of solidarity as a basis for institutionalized political solidarity. At first, a critique of atomism is made in its social, political and scientific manifestations. This step is necessary to show the social nature of the human being and then determine the need for a solidarity component if individuals are to share a social life with others. However, not any conception will be valid, which makes the conception of solidarity necessary to review its meaning, especially in an ethical-political historical sense and to delimit the borders that separate it from similar notions such as fraternity. The next step is to philosophically base a deontological conception of solidarity based on discourse ethics, incorporating it into a robust perspective of the protection of social and individual autonomy. In conclusion, the construction of the political dimension of solidarity is explored, integrating it into the democratic republican political framework and, particularly, into the republican socialist tradition. Thus, we will have assessed the possibility of republican and socialist solidarity and the role it can play in its sociopolitical program.
