Abstract

This thesis deals with certain relations between film and theater from my stage and film practice as an actress and creator. The gender perspective, performativity and interdisciplinarity (the translation of artistic codes from stage to film and vice versa) are the three axes framing my field of study which deals with the most hidden aspect of certain works by Jacques Rivette, Mariano Llinás and Los Detectives, a four-woman theater and performance company which I am a member. The final result is proposed in the form of a Film Essay, two films made from pre-existing stage plays, a visual archive and a theoretical investigation linked to artistic practice. All this material allowed us to approach the theoretical analysis from a new perspective, while at the same time the reflection has given us a deeper understanding of the creative stage processes of Los Detectives, generating new methodologies for the work of the company's future pieces. The study is focused on the corporeal methods used by the creators and filmmakers to bring to the surface absent elements. These elements, have been defined in this research as "the ghost of the real", being perceived in reality even though they are not there.
