Abstract

This thesis compares two egalitarian conceptions of distributive justice applied to two particular problems of health sphere. It compares the rawlsian approach held by Norman Daniels with the luck egalitarian approach defended by Shlomi Segall. The thesis evaluates the answers these theories give to two issues: i) the justification of a universal health care system, and ii) when are health inequalities unjust? The comparison focus on ideal aspects of each theory.
