Abstract

The object of study of this research is the mobile ecosystem for the news distribution, attending at the same time to the development of mobile applications and information aggregators as their most characteristic vehicles. On the one hand, this is a exploratory study about and presents the result of an analysis of trends in the field of digital news media, as well as new mobile formats, all through a systematized review supported by reports from the main actors involved in the field of media and digital platforms, as well as reference authors. From this systematic review, a state of art of the mobile ecosystem issue has been developed. In addition, a study protocol consisting of an integrated mobile application analysis model has been developed that has allowed us to carry out a comparative study of them. Based on the protocol developed, we have applied the analysis system to a series of cases distributed in mobile applications (apps) of media and news aggregation. Last, but not least, we have developed the proposal of a group of patterns, based on the extension of the selected indicators of the analysis model, which has allowed us to deliver a set of enriched results that, in their coherent union, form a Comprehensive proposal of research results around our object of study.
