¿Cuáles son los determinantes de la tasa de cambio real en Colombia para el periodo 1985-2005?

Abstract

La investigación propuesta busca, mediante la aplicación del modelo de desbordamiento propuesto por Buiter y Miller (1981) encontrar las variables causales de la Tasa de Cambio Real en Colombia para el período 1985–2005. A través de los resultados se encuentra un relación inversa entre el PIB y la tasa de cambio real, hecho que no es congruente con la teoría económica planteada por Buiter y Miller (1981); razón por la cual, este modelo captura parcialmente la dinámica de la tasa de cambio real colombiana. Se encuentra además que existe relación tanto de largo como de corto plazo y el corto plazo fluctúa en torno al estado estacionario corrigiendo en cada periodo un 0.11% del error.
