Abstract

Este trabajo presenta una alternativa para detectar observaciones atípicas multivariantes mediante búsqueda de proyecciones. El procedimiento calcula direcciones de proyección pseudo-aleatorias a partir de un muestreo estratificado usando semillas iniciales: las direcciones de máxima y mínima curtosis. La detección de atípicos se basa en el cálculo de atipicidad Stahel-Donoho combinado con un clúster $k$-means de dos grupos. El método propuesto se compara con otros de la literatura mediante experimentos numéricos y datos reales. La evidencia muestra que el nuevo método tiene buen desempeño para detectar valores atípicos en diversos escenarios de contaminación.
