Camino conceptual hacia las normas sociales

Abstract

En este texto se recorre un camino conceptual hacia las normas sociales. El propósito de este recorrido es el de exponer las categorías y conceptos que definen y delimitan lo que se entiende por norma social y aquellos comportamientos con los que limitan, principalmente desde la teoría de Cristina Bicchieri. Para esto, (i) se pretende responder a la pregunta sobre el tipo de concepto con el que nos enfrentamos y sus diferentes aproximaciones y acuerdos –en un segmento de la comunidad académica– partiendo de su abordaje desde la teoría de la elección racional hasta las aproximaciones más contemporáneas. (ii) Se delimita lo que se entiende por comportamientos dependientes e interdependientes, con el fin de establecer qué es y qué no es una norma social, esto es, establecer el marco en el que se va a entender la teoría. (iii) Acto seguido, se dan algunas definiciones de “normas sociales”, especificando luego que este capítulo se centra en la teoría de Bicchieri. (iv) Luego se describen los elementos constitutivos de la misma, para terminar exponiendo el método de identificación de las normas sociales a través de una serie de preguntas clave al momento de hacer la lectura sobre el comportamiento de las personas. (v) Por último, se realizan algunos comentarios finales.
