Incorporación de residuos de caucho vulcanizado pos industrial obtenidos por trituración mecánica a mezclas puras de EPDM

Abstract

En este trabajo se hace inicialmente un estudio del estado del arte de los vulcanizados de EPDM reciclado y posteriormente se explican los principales procesos de reciclado de cauchos en general, pasando por los procesos químicos, termoquímicos, mecánicos, por irradiación y, finalmente, los biológicos. Luego se entra más al detalle al proceso de reciclado de EPDM; en donde se explican los últimos desarrollos e investigaciones en este tema, tales como los procesos termo-oxidativos, desvulcanización por microondas y ultrasonido y por desechos de caucho molido como carga. Se hace un análisis de los problemas que se presentan actualmente con los desechos sólidos, y con base en lo anterior se plantea una justificación y los impactos que puedan tener en nuestro medio.
