Abstract

The following work is the product of a research that aims to delimit the determinants in the adoption of Silvopastoral Systems (SSPI) in the Colombian Caribbean region and provide guidance on the public policies that should be followed in Colombia in order to achieve an increase in the implementation of climate-smart technologies. This work seeks to contribute to the efforts to mitigate climate change and at the same time to find tools to address the food challenges associated with population growth trends. The result of the research allowed to identify the socioeconomic and physical factors that encourage the adoption of SSPI in this region, through a Probit type regression.
